It is
with deep sadness that we say farewell to our long-time
friend and associate, James H. (Jimmy) Faulkner, Sr.,
who died on August 22, 2008 after a lengthy illness.
Mr.
Faulkner joined Mr. David Volkert in 1958 to assist him
in growing his newly purchased engineering firm. Mr.
Faulkner remained a vital part of the firm and served as
Vice Chairman of the Board.
Mr.
Faulkner will be remembered as a gentlemen in the truest
sense of the word. He was much admired for his
integrity, energy, optimism, patriotism, generosity,
grateful nature, and ability to find good in everyone
while showing kindness to all.
He was
a visionary who saw avenues to progress and worked hard
to find ways to turn them into reality.
Our
heartfelt sympathy is with his family.
SELECTIONS FROM JIMMY FAULKNER’S MUMBLINGS:
“Persistence is one of the greatest things in life if
you are trying to do good things.”“The greatest pleasure
in life is not in receiving, but what we give and do for
God and others.” “A difficulty with many people is they
have no appreciation and those who do don’t express it
to those who are helpful. This is not only wrong, but
thoughtless on our part.” Mr. Faulkner always
closed his articles with “See you again soon, I hope.”
