Water Resources Engineer

Volkert, a Top 100 design firm (#87, ENR), is engineering the future of infrastructure in Transportation, Energy, Water, and Environment. Volkert is currently searching an experienced Water Resources Engineer to serve as a Project Manager and Business Leader in our Virginia Beach Office. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the analysis, design, construction administration, and preparation of technical reports, plans, and specifications for stormwater projects for various owners, including municipalities and VDOT.
This individual will work independently as well as plan and supervise work of teams of professionals and technicians. The position includes client interaction and a commitment to client service. The role includes business development, proposal preparation client maintenance.
The ideal candidate will meet the following required qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- 10-15 years related experience required
- Strong writing, oral communication, and teamwork skills
- A mix of technical and project management experience including, but not limited to:
- Virginia Stormwater Management Program
- H&H analysis
- Pump/lift station design and operations
