Volkert Adds Talent Acquisition Manager
CAO Dan Houston focuses on recruitment as an operational priority for Volkert.
Effective August 20, Carrie Bingham joins Volkert, Inc. as its first Talent Acquisition Manager, reporting to VP of Human Resources Holly Gibney. In this role, Bingham will develop the talent acquisition strategy for Volkert, work closely with hiring managers to evaluate talent acquisition priorities, and create an effective onboarding process for new hires.
Bingham brings to Volkert more than 14 years of experience in human resources and talent acquisition.
In her previous role at Slim Chickens, a fast-casual restaurant based out of Fayetteville, Arkansas, she served as the Director of Human Resources for the corporate office and company restaurant locations. Bingham oversaw all human resources functions, benefits, and talent acquisition. Prior to Slim Chickens, she held the positions of Regional Human Resources Manager and Director of Human Resources for Simmons Foods from 2014-2017. In that role, Bingham was responsible for human resources initiatives and compliance; she also supported talent acquisition for the poultry division.
The majority of Bingham’s experience stems from the transportation industry, working for J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. for almost nine years. She started as a human resources assistant supporting the recruiting team and was promoted to a recruiting manager hiring for operations, engineering, IT, marketing, and pricing. Bingham partnered closely with these departments and soon became a human resources business partner for several departments.

Bingham is a native of northwest Arkansas and a graduate of the University of Arkansas, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management, with an emphasis on human resources. She has maintained her professional certification in human resources (PHR) since 2006 and has been a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) since 2015. She is a current member of Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) as well as its local human resources chapter, NOARK.
