Volkert recently marked its Centennial anniversary by completing 100 Acts of Service in communities across the country.
To celebrate this milestone, the firm released a special episode of the Volkert Vodcast, its internal employee podcast launched in 2025. In the episode, Bryan Bossart and Caylee Evans are joined by Gina Macaluso to reflect on how the initiative began, the communities it supported, and why service remains central to Volkert’s culture.

A Centennial Commitment to Community
As Volkert approached its Centennial, leadership chose to celebrate not only the firm’s engineering achievements, but also its longstanding commitment to community involvement.
The 100 Acts of Service initiative empowered offices nationwide to lead volunteer efforts addressing local needs. Through employee collaboration across regions, offices selected meaningful causes, resulting in 100 unique acts of service.
The initiative reflects a simple belief: strong infrastructure and strong communities go hand in hand.
Impact Across Our Communities
The initiative supported a wide range of community priorities. Offices partnered with food banks, organized holiday meal and toy drives, honored veterans, restored beaches and parks, supported schools, and assisted families facing hardship.
Each act was employee-led and locally driven. Teams organized events, coordinated donations, and volunteered their time to make a meaningful difference where they live and work.
Service Beyond the Centennial
At the heart of 100 Acts of Service are the employees who made it possible. Across the country, team members stepped forward to lead efforts, rally their colleagues, and serve their communities.
Completing 100 Acts of Service marks an important milestone in Volkert’s 100-year history, but it is ultimately a reflection of the people behind it. As the firm looks ahead, this commitment to service continues.
