Volkert was founded in 1925, and the development of waterfront structures at the Port of New Orleans—one of the world’s largest—was among its first assignments. Since then, Volkert has worked in support of clients that range from small marinas, to state docks, to large deepwater port authorities across the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. Our comprehensive capabilities include planning, environmental services, facilities and infrastructure design, construction-phase services, inspections, and support for operations and maintenance.

Ports and marine facilities are an important part of our nation’s transportation infrastructure.
