The planning stage of a project enables agencies and municipalities to envision and work efficiently toward agreed-upon goals. At Volkert, our planners work with our design professionals to develop solutions that are visionary yet technically sound. Volkert’s planners collaborate with multiple stakeholders, such as residential communities, private developers, government departments, and regulatory agencies, to develop comprehensive plans that improve our communities.

Our planning services include stakeholder engagement workshops, brainstorming, public outreach meetings, conceptual and feasibility studies, and the development of comprehensive master plans for both communities and transportation facilities. Deliverables include corridor, freight, traffic, parking, and transit studies; community and facility master plans; multi-modal and complete street planning; low-impact stormwater management; and green infrastructure plans.
