SVP David Webber strengthens leadership bench for growth in Tuscaloosa-Birmingham-Huntsville markets.
Effective March 25, Edward Douglas Seagle, Jr., joined Volkert as its North Alabama design manager. Among other duties, Seagle will manage operations for the company’s three North Alabama offices: Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Huntsville. He will be located in Volkert’s Birmingham office.
Seagle brings more than 30 years of experience in the North Alabama market to Volkert, having managed both large and small companies in the region. He has extensive experience in the development of corridor studies, interchange and highway design, drainage and site design, traffic studies, and project management. Seagle’s areas of expertise include geometric design, hydrology and hydraulics, and development of both erosion control and traffic control plans.
“Doug is a proven leader in the design, development, and management of civil and transportation engineering projects,” said senior vice president David Webber. “His technical expertise and high ethical standards will be great assets to our Volkert team.”
A registered professional engineer in Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee, Seagle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University.
